UK Motorsport PLC is in a deep downward spiral that will lead inexorably to its virtual extinction except for a handful of blue-riband events.

Track use for ordinary members of the public and general sport participants is in real danger of abolition.

In the face of noise legislation, aggressively applied through mis-directed statutory nuisance laws, we have entered a period of increasing litigation, crippling legal expense and unreasonable restriction that is little short of oppression against circuits as legitimate businesses and individuals alike.

Motorsport’s chosen methods of capitulation, subservience and unswerving compliance in an effort to appease a small number of local householders and politicians has totally failed to halt the trend.

It is therefore the right time for the millions of fans and participants of all forms of motorsport to join together to reverse this direction and ensure our sport is one that is appreciated as an activity that makes significant positive contributions to society and communities — socially, economically and environmentally.

While the motorsport industry itself will continue to campaign in parallel, this core group can be more politically powerful because of the honesty of its dis-association from the vested financial interests of motorsport.  In this way our case gains strength from a membership comprising individuals and volunteers that represents true public opinion.

The great outdoors is a resource common to us all …
and one that should be shared equally by us all.
